Contaminant Transport Animations

Being able to accurately depict the migration of contaminants is an important part of remediation.  These animations were created by the three-dimensional particle tracker I developed.  This first animation shows the contaminant spreading through the domain:



This next animation shows how the contaminant is withdrawn from the ground as part of a remediation effort side-by-side with what can be expected if no action were taken:



The animation below shows the contaminant excaping into the environment in the case of no action or being slowly removed and processed.


This next animation shows what would happen if no clean-up effort were undertaken to capture the contaminants:

 

and the huge difference that can be made by a carefully-design system to clean up contamination:



This system even has two rows of wells on the south side to make sure the cleanup is successful.
